I can still remember the "click" of the first photo I took almost 45 years ago as a 6-year old child. From that first old "Foca" camera I used to photograph my parents so long ago to today’s advanced tools, I have tried to capture my friends at particular instants in their lives. The passion has never left me. I discovered rock climbing at Fontainebleau when I was about 16, so I naturally ended up making a living from my images, with the constant help of climbers I had the good fortune to meet. Bouldering was at its beginnings, as were competitions, and at 22, I threw myself fully into the profession, getting published in magazines and working with equipment manufacturers. Today, I’m still just as passionate about bouldering, whether it’s in Fontainebleau - where I live for the nature, the landscapes and the people – or all the other spots I've visited around the world to photograph outdoor sports. It all started with bouldering, and everything I do extends from that – whether it's shooting rock climbing, mountaineering or even work-at-height.
